Utopia Home Care of Charleston observed Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention month together in the front office. Pink frosted cupcakes and candies were displayed for sharing with staff stopping by the office. Like many American families, some of our own office staff have loved ones affected by the disease.
According to the National Cancer Institute’s recent SEER (Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results) study, based on current incidence rates, 12.4 percent of women born in the United States today will develop breast cancer at some time during their lives.*
