The Herbert T. Clark Congregate and Assisted Living hosted a networking brunch for the East of the River Senior Services Group, a collaboration of health care providers who meet monthly on improving health care throughout Northeastern Connecticut.
Members of East of the River were served brunch provided by Sodexo, the on-site culinary service, and were offered tours of the facility after the presentations. The Presentations addressed the importance of affordable options within Assisted Living Services, and how the State of Connecticut has worked with agencies such as Utopia Home Care to provide affordable, safe, congregate and Assisted Living throughout Connecticut.
The event featured guest speaker David Martinez, CEO of Utopia Home Care, discussing his experiences with the assisted living program over the past 15+ years. Utopia is the premier provider of Assisted Living services at the Herbert T. Clark House, along with other Assisted Living facilities throughout the state.
Guest Speakers Kala A. Dumas, Utopia Business Development Manager, and Wendy Ehrhardt, Director at the Herbert T. Clark House, also spoke as members of the East of the River Senior Services Group on how the group's focus on collaborative community outreach continues to improve services available to area seniors and allows for affordable health care and housing options for the aging population.
