How are services paid for?

Utopia accepts Medicare, Medicaid (HUSKY), United Healthcare, Connecticare, Anthem Health Plans / MediBlue, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Oxford Health Plans, Agency on Ageing / CCCI, Veterans Administration, Long Term Care Insurance and Private Pay.

Which types of Long Term Care Insurance do you accept?

Utopia accepts Long Term Care Insurance from the following companies: Mutual of Omaha, Prudential, MetLife, John Hancock, Bankers Life, and Mass Mutual.

Are services billed daily, weekly, or monthly?

If services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or Private Insurance we will bill the insurance directly.  Private pay services are billed and paid for on a weekly basis.

What are your rates/pricing for private pay services?

Since each patient’s situation is unique with respect to their needs, we do not publish our rates on our website or send them via email. The type of service needed (RN, HHA, Homemaker or combination), length of services (hourly, daily, respite or live-in), and the type of payer source benefits (long-term care insurance, Medicaid/Medicare, private pay) patients or their families are entitled to are all taken into account in order to give the most accurate pricing.
