On May 19th, Utopia Home Care worked with Griffin Hospital to present an inservice for the Case Management team. Community and Business Development Manager Raymond Baldwin, along with Clinical Nursing Supervisor Bill Wronski, presented "Alzheimer's Disease and Related Neurocognitive Disorders: Diagnosis, Treatment and Management" to hospital clinicians who received CEU's for their time.
Some of the course objectives and discussion included:
- Describe the difference between Alzheimer’s disease and related neurocognitive disorders.
- Identify the symptoms, stages, and risk factors of Alzheimer’s disease.
- Recognize the diagnostic considerations for Alzheimer’s disease and related neurocognitive disorders.
- Compare effective treatment and management of persons with Alzheimer’s disease and related neurocognitive disorders.
