Utopia Home Care is proud to announce that Home Health Aides (HHA's) from our Babylon and Patchogue locations have successfully completed the Alzheimer’s Association essentiALZ training, an online certification program that provides recognition for knowledge of dementia care practices. Staff undergo a curriculum that outlines basics of the disease, with a focus on person centered care strategies. Upon completion, an exam tests knowledge in dementia care practices that are promoted in the nationally recognized Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Care Practice Recommendations and supported by more than 30 leading health and senior care organizations.
