I am a Parkinson's patient who is getting excellent professional care from Stephanie, a Physical Therapist assigned to our account. She has laid out a exercise program for me, monitors my response to the program, and fine tunes the program when needed.
She is a professional without being stuffy, a person who recognizes her clients needs, and works to draw out the best they can be. I am constantly amazed how she talks my joints and brain into doing the exercises in the daily program.
While I am aware of the fact this disease is progressive, I am sure that it has been slowed dramatically and reduced my off days. Her hard work has given me a strong sense of well being.
Stephanie is always on time and is not afraid to go that extra mile and is always ready to pitch in when necessary. Like the time we were late returning from a Doctor's appointment - she was willing to wait for us so I could do the program for that day.

"One of our clients called to compliment a Physical Therapist from the Sarasota office. She said he has been seeing her for several weeks, twice per week and she said "He is a people person, always smiling, he is just great and does a great job every time he's here".
This is not only a fantastic compliment for the PT, but we could never get her to accept physical therapy services prior to this (we actually had to discharge her previously for refusing services). She only wanted the former therapist from an outpatient rehab facility and just couldn't see how therapy services would benefit her. She acquiesced to the therapy and it's changed her life..."

I wanted to compliment Jennifer, my nurse, on many levels. I've had a long term infection in my leg that has required the insertion and removal of at least 14 PICC lines, allowing me a great deal of interaction with home health care nurses.
Jennifer is the best home care nurse I have ever had...she has a professional and clean appearance, along with a caring and considerate attitude. As a former paramedic, I'm aware of standard precautions and sterile technique. She practiced attention to detail when completing PICC dressing changes, being completely knowledgeable of modes of infection transmission.

Utopia Home Care has provided her with a home aide, an "angel" really, by the name of Tiffany. Tiffany is compassionate, competent, caring and, as our Mom says, "could not do enough for her."
She also has another excellent helper Michele, but it is Tiffany who does the bulk of the caregiving and with whom our Mom has bonded.
We wanted to express our appreciation for the work Utopia Home Care does. Our staff contact person is Donna, who always has been very responsive to all our queries and concerns. She has been warm, reassuring and patient with us. My brother and I do not live near our mother. As you know long-distance caregiving is quite a challenge and without the help of Utopia Home Care, our Mom would not be in her home.

"Jessica Always Goes Above and Beyond"
My Mom has had the pleasure of having Jessica as her Aide for quite some time now. We get her 2 hrs per day, 4 days a week. She has such a great rapport with Mom. It was rough for about 2-3 weeks when Mom was being mean due to her dementia/Alzheimer’s, but Jessica hung in there and was able to help me cope.
Jessica has always gone above and beyond; an example that I can give you is recently Mom got out and took a walk and I couldn't find her. Luckily the Sheriff’s Office has a Care Program which they provide a tracking bracelet so that when a loved one does wander they can track their location. They had found Mom and brought her back home but not her walker. After Jessica’s duties were done, she went to the area they found Mom, located the walker and returned it to us within 30 minutes of finishing with my Mom’s care. This is only one example, she has always been there to help mom and she helps me too.
We love her dearly. Please retain her as a valuable employee as she is!!!

My Mother has been a client of Utopia's for 6 months now, having no previous experience with 24/7 PCA services or the whole Medicaid support system. To say the least, researching and setting up the services my Mother needed was quite stressful for me but once I connected with Utopia a tremendous sense of support and confidence ensued for me and my Mom. All the various Utopia staff with whom I have had contact during this time (especially Julia Jenne, CSA and Kim, Care Coordinator), have been so wonderfully responsive, professional and helpful with every aspect of my mom's case, that one can only conclude the agency truly invests a great deal of effort in attracting the best staff in the field.

I wanted to drop a quick note to commend one of your Senior Advisors, Julia Jenne. Several weeks ago, my Mother fell ill and was rushed to the hospital. During her stay there, I was told that there was a likelihood that my Mother would require at home care on a regular basis. I was referred to Utopia and sent an email through your website for assistance.
On the SAME day, I received a phone call from Julia inquiring about my situation. I explained to her what was going on and within a few minutes, Julia provided an arsenal of information and guidance on next steps to take in the care of my Mother.
Julia was kind enough to meet with me so we could meet face to face to discuss matters. Over the next few days, any time I ran into a problem (whether it be with the hospital or social worker), I called Julia. She became my resource for EVERYTHING (questions to ask the hospital, outside social workers, hospice care, etc). In fact Julia was so kind.....she would call ME to check in to see how things were going with my mother. Given my situation, it made me feel wonderful to know that a person whom I never knew before really CARED.

I had a Total Knee Replacement and developed a terrible cellulitis on the shin of the operative leg. My doctor recommended I go to a rehab facility for IV antibiotics for several days until transitioning me to oral antibiotics, at which point I returned home. When I was discharged from rehab, I told the nurse that I wanted to go home with home care services through Utopia, as my niece is a supervisor of clinical services. My sister had Utopia in the past and she highly recommended them. I was set up with the best of the best clinical staff to take care of my needs at home.
