Speech Pathologists

The Speech Pathologist directs, supervises, evaluates, and provides speech pathology services to patients in the home as prescribed by the attending physician.

The Speech Pathologist functions under the direction of the Supervisor of Rehabilitative Services and will participate with the primary care nurse in the coordination of care for the patient.

Typical Speech Pathologist Tasks Include

  • Diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit individualized patient needs
  • Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders
  • Reporting progress and current status to physician and care team
