All our field employees are screened, trained, certified or licensed, bonded, insured and supervised by a registered nurse.
Services are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and are paid for by Medicaid Waiver, County Program funding, Insurance or Private Pay.
We provide bilingual aides, specializing in Spanish.
We provide transportation for live-in aides to and from the client's home.
Staff aides are available for immediate response.
We have an excellent training program for certifying Home Health Aides (HHAs). Continuing education in-service classes are provided throughout the year.
Criminal background checks are made on all personnel before they are permitted to work.
Utopia is accredited by CHAP, a nationally recognized accrediting organization.
Most insurance plans are accepted. Free insurance evaluation and assistance with billing and forms is provided.
Our reputation for delivering highly qualified aides and nurses has enabled Utopia to contract its services with a wide variety of organizations, including Certified Agencies, Long term Home Health Care Programs, Hospices, County Home Maker, Personal Care and Respite Programs.
Our Performance Improvement Committee, composed of key clinical and administrative staff meets six times per year to review patient care complaints, outcomes, and all policies and procedures. It also oversees compliance with the regulations and standards of the Department of Health and the Community Health Accreditation Program.
All of our staff are thoroughly trained to assure compliance with HIPAA notice of privacy practices.
To assure the highest ethical standards, Utopia Home Care has a Corporate Compliance Program, which includes a Code of Conduct for all its employees.
All of Utopia's clients receive satisfaction evaluation forms to help us closely monitor our performance.
Our Quality Assurance Nurse regularly visits every office in order to constantly monitor the client and personnel files, as well as the Agency's Performance Improvement Program.
Our Risk Manager Nurse reviews all documents related to incidents, accidents, and complaints that pertain to the patients and caregivers.
