Raleigh Host's First Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest - Raleigh, NC

On June 30th, Utopia Home Care of Raleigh hosted it's "First Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest" to benefit Alzheimer's North Carolina. With over 75 people present, the competition played host to local residents, business owners, and competitor's from around the Raleigh area vying for the title and helping to raise close to $1,000.00 to benefit Alzheimer's NC programs across the state.

Pictured below is Todd Hille, Administrator for Utopia Home Care of Raleigh, presenting a check to the Alice Watkins, Director of Alzheimer's NC. Alzheimers North Carolina, Inc. provides family support, community education, public awareness and supports research for the prevention, cure and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. They serve 51 of North Carolina's counties (from the Triangle to the coast). Over 140,000 people in North Carolina are affected by Alzheimer's and these numbers are expected to quadruple by the year 2025.
