Utopia Assisted Living Services, Inc. provides nursing and personal care to individuals living in Managed Residential Communities (MRC) at multiple locations through out Connecticut. Our family owned and operated Assisted Living Services Agency (ALSA) is licensed with the Connecticut Department of Public Health. Since 2001, Utopia’s ALSA has worked closely with Connecticut’s Department of Social Services (DSS), Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), and the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) in establishing our affordable assisted living services program. Whether a client qualifies for state funding, long term care insurance, or pays privately, Utopia Assisted Living Services, Inc. will work with clients to identify the most cost effective means for care.

Utopia’s dedicated staff work with our clients and their families to determine the service package levels of care required to assist people to live independently, in their own home. Every client under our care is treated with compassion, dignity, and respect, just like family.

Connecticut Assisted Living Services Levels of Care

There are four service package levels available for our assisted living program. The service package level is consistently evaluated by our staff and can be revised at anytime. Upon assessment, Utopia’s ALSA will determine the client’s service package level as follows:
  • Level One ­ Occasional Service - Up to 3.75 hours a week of Personal Service


  • Level Two ­ Limited Service - 4 to 8.75 hours a week of Personal Service


  • Level Three – Moderate Service - 9 to 14.75 hours a week of Personal Service


  • Level Four – Extensive Service - 15 to 25 hours a week of Personal Service
